---- version history:

  1. In the 1st version the gallery and included files consisted only of the preliminary Soundtrack 2.
  2. In the 2nd version i added Soundtrack 1 and 3. Both final. I also increased the suggested price, tbh this is random. But i found no co-creation artist yet.
  3. In the 3rd version i replaced the rather blank cover image with an maybe still preliminary picture. I added the text of the 4th part of the short story. Probably now it's known where the release title comes from. The 2nd soundtrack now has also a non black cover image, i guess final.
  4. I kept this open too long. Unfinished things are rarely good and it doesn't get better the longer it takes.

No co-creation. I failed in this regard. Or rather missed one goal, but i don't want to convince any other artist. Someone wants, great. If not, it is ok.

Short Story - Chapter 1

Kai looked over at Jan, his brother, who was putting some clothes on a pile in preparation, or even just pre-selection, that wasn't really clear to Kai. It was for their trip to Arras, which they planned for the next week. They had been talking about it for a few weeks now and making various plans, they also rejected again. They had only finally decided on Arras as their destination a few days ago. It wasn't a long journey, they estimated 2 days to get there. Their plan was then to stay in Arras for 1-2 weeks depending on the accommodation and of course the costs for it. Since they had never been there themselves, they had to rely on information from other sources that they didn't know how current it was. Therefore, it was currently not possible to predict exactly whether it would be 1 or 2 weeks. Or whether they would even like it for 2 weeks.

Short Story - Chapter 2

As is often the case, the day of departure arrived sooner than expected and yesterday was quite hectic for Kai and Jan. But as far as they could tell, they were ready and their backpacks were packed. It is important to note that when traveling on foot, every decision to take something with you always has the consequence to carry this item the entire journey. Or in the case of consumables, whether the quantity would be sufficient until a replacement could be obtained. Now the trip didn't go through remote areas, so they didn't have to take a lot of food with them. Apart from a certain reserve of course. Unfortunately, the day of departure was marked by occasional drizzle, but that didn't dampen their spirits too much. At least the prospects were better because there was no sign of worse weather coming.

Short Story - Chapter 3.1

Gooooal! Now it was clear. They had been hearing shouts in the distance for a while, but the words, if there were any, were unintelligible. There was a football game a few 100 meters away. You could recognize the players on the pitch and spectators. Not many, a few dozen probably. Since Kai and Jan had already been on the road for over half a day and after a lunch break there where already been on the way for a while, they decided to take a break and watch the game. They didn't know the teams or what kind of game it was. But it was obviously an adult team or at least young adults. And all the players were involved with a lot of effort - it seemed important as every referee decision was discussed extensively by the respective spectators or accompanied by whistles or shouts.

Short Story - Chapter 3.2

After standing next to other spectators on the sidelines, they asked about the game time, adding that they just happened to see the game on their way. So only about 20 minutes left and the score was 1:1, which certainly explained the tension. And neither team apparently wanted to sit back with this score and hold it until the end. Well it was a league game in a regional league as they experienced, not a tournament game. Therefore there was no extension as the game ended 1-1 after regular time. So a very entertaining break. But they couldn't extend their break any further because until the evening they had to get to accommodation, so they set off again immediately after the game was over. No detour, because the playing field was actually located almost directly next to the path they were traveling on.

Short Story - Chapter 4a

It was soon dark and they were still on the road. Since they had brought a tent with them, they wanted to use it for the night. There was no large town with accommodation on that part of the route and they would have had to either spend several hours in the previous town, which they did not want to do, or continue walking for a large part of the night, which was not very attractive either. Hence the tent. They had seen a lake on the map where a place for tents was marked. They now arrived at this place. There was no one else there. They quickly put up the tent. It was small, just for 2 people. At the time, the moon was almost full, so it was relatively bright even when the sun had completely set.

Short Story - Chapter 4b

Also because it was not very cold, they were able to sit in front of the tent for a while. The moon was exactly in the direction they were looking, over the lake, which was reflected in it. A fascinating sight, so they sat there in silence for a while and watched a few animals that mostly scurried past quickly between them and the lake, often stopping briefly at the lake shore. To have something to drink, as they naturally assumed. The night was quiet and they set off early. This section of the route was more about getting ahead, less about seeing places or staying somewhere longer than necessary. But that also meant that ideally it was only 2 more days to Arras.
